2008 Orange Bowl to Match Kansas Jayhawks and Virginia Tech Hokies

They are led on offense by running back Brandon McAnderson and quarterback Todd Reesing and on defense by cornerback Aqib Talib. They play their home games at University of Kansas Memorial Stadium.

Virginia Tech Hokies

The Virginia Tech Hokies represent Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in college football. The team’s head coach is Frank Beamer. The Hokies entered the 2007 season returning nine starters on offense and eight on defense, including All-American cornerback Brandon Flowers.

After the Virginia Tech massacre claimed the lives of 32 students and faculty members on Monday, April 16, 2007, the remainder of spring practice was canceled. The Hokies had been scheduled to hold two more practices in addition to a spring game on Saturday.

The 2008 Orange Bowl will be played on Thursday, January 3, 2008. Kick-off is scheduled at 8 P.M. local time. The event will be televised on FOX.
