The track’s construction was extremely unusual for a race track, in that it was designed and constructed without consulting engineers, and using just one surveyor to help.

First raced in 1993, the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 covers 318 miles and 301 laps. Organizers added an extra lap starting in 2008 to signal the fact that the title sponsors, Lenox Industrial Tools, will go that extra mile for customers.
- Sylvania 300 - The Sylvania 300 is a NASCAR Sprint Cup stock car race held at the New Hampshire International Speedway. It has the distinction of being the only Sprint Cup race outside of Daytona and Talladega to run a restrictor plate race. The Sylvania 300 is raced for 213 miles and 300 laps.
