NBA Basketball - See Tickets

NBA Basketball

The National Basketball Association is the biggest basketball league in the world. It is one of the four major professional sports leagues in America. It was originally founded as the Basketball Association of America in 1946. However, later in the same year it was re-named to the NBA after merging with the National Basketball League (NBL). 30 teams are currently on the draft which one team based in Canadian and the rest in the United States.

It's all in the game - NBA

The NBA regular season typically starts around the first week of November. In each season, a team plays about 82 games, which are divided into the away and home games. The season is briefly 'interrupted' in February, when the NBA All-Star Game takes place. After this game, a period is allowed for player trades and signings. Regular season ends in April with many awards, such as Coach of the year and the Most valuable Player (MVP), being given out.The playoffs begin late April, where 8 teams from each conference take part. Each team plays against a rival in a best of seven games series. This continues till two teams are left in the pool, which play the NBA Final Playoffs.

The NBA has produced some of the most influential sportsmen of the generation. Michael Jordan, Michael Johnson, Shaquille O' Neal and Kobe Bryant are just a few among many who have been idolized by fans all across America.

NBA Today
