Competitive Golf Tournaments Across The United States.

The grand daddy of all golf touraments is the prestigious Masters Tournament, one of the most anticipated golf events of the year. All golf pros want the Green Jacket.

Next to the Masters, held in April of each year, the The USA Open Golf Tournament is one of the biggest golf tournaments in the USA and is held in June each year.

The PGA Championship Tournament is also a major golf fan favorite, however, the action has anything but wound up by then, with the British Open and The Presidents Cup scheduled to take place soon after and lets not forget the Ryder Cup, which pitches the best European and American golfers against each other.

2010 PGA Outlook

Okay let's just get it out of the way and address the 300 pound tiger that is in the room. I am Talking about of course Tiger Woods and his slight encounter with a fire hydrant. Now no matter what he did and if he did anything I am not going to judge. I say this the man was too clean, he is a celebrity, you know that there would have to be a problem with this and that would lead to a massive problem. Now all of that being said I wish him and his wife all the best and hope that they can work these differences out in the end.

Now let's move on to the rest of the sport and look ahead to a year that promises to be one that will have a lot of people shocked. The big shocker that I foresee is the fact that a unknown person will do the ultimate and win the Masters in April. This may be a wild prediction but I see a lot of players that are out there that have the potential to make an impact on the golf world and leave their mark on the major tournaments. Let's face it now that Tiger is out of the way there is room for a lot of players to advance and become the next name in golf.

This years Ryder Cup will be one that I will be interested to see if the Tiger will participate in or will he release his spot to allow a different player to step up to the tee. There is the hope that this will allow new player to burst onto the scene and blaze their own path in the world of golf. John Daly is another train wreck that I find amusing to watch him play. Watching Daly play golf is like watching Lou Pinella coach a baseball team. You just know that something will happen every time that he is on the green.

The 2010 PGA season is shaping up to be a quite interesting one that will have a lot of twist and turns to look at in the upcoming season. Look for new names to emerge as the new stars of the sport now that the tiger has been neutered and has been banished to another place in the world. There are going to be several players that I think will actually make the game a lot more interesting to watch and as a result bring a whole new audience to the sport. There will be bigger endorsements for tournaments and this will lead to bigger prize money being paid out. As a result the sport will see its biggest growth in quite a few years.
