Synopsis of The Lion King

Simba, a young cub, struggles to accept the responsibilities of adulthood and his destined role as a king after his father Mufasa is murdered by Simba's uncle Scar. Torn between the urge to take on his rightful role as the ruler of Pride Lands and run away (Simba thinks it is his fault that Mufasa is dead), Simba wanders into the desert where he collapses. Timon, the meerkat, and Pumbaa, the warthog revive him and become his life-long friends.

As Simba grows up, he decides to take responsibility of his actions and returns, only to find out all the truth. As Scar and his associates meet their fate and justice is served, Simba rises as the true Lion King.
